Dubai: Passenger transportation from India to the United Arab Emirates has been suspended until May 14, 2021.

“Passengers who have crossed through India in the past 14 days are not permitted to board from any other point to the UAE,” said an advisory report dated April 29 seen by Gulf News.

Here’s what travelers can do about their travels from India –

For Emirates Airlines (Dubai) flights:

Passengers can keep their ticket and travel with the carrier within 36 months of the original reservation date. Guests can also request a refund.

These options apply if you book your ticket before April 1, 2021 for travel on or before December 31, 2021. All tickets issued starting April 1, 2021 will automatically be valid for travel for 24 months. In the meantime, you can change the dates and request a refund at no additional charge. You can make the changes online or contact your travel agent.

For tickets issued on or before September 30, 2020, with travel date on or before December 31, 2021, you may keep the ticket that you have already booked and use it later.

Emirates said: “We have extended its validity for 36 months from the date of the original reservation. Your ticket will be accepted for any flight to the same destination or within the same region in any class of reservation at no additional charge during this period.” On their website.

For tickets issued on or after October 1, 2020, with a travel date on or before December 31, 2021, you can keep the ticket that you have already booked and use it later. Once again, Emirates has extended its validity for 36 months from the date of original reservation. A ticket will be accepted for any trip to the same destination or within the same region in the same reservation category without additional charges during this period.

If you book your flights directly with Emirates Airlines, the validity of the ticket will be extended automatically; Passengers only need to contact the airline with the new departure dates. If you booked with a booking agent, please contact them before your ticket expires to extend your ticket from 24 months to 36 months.

Can I change my destination?

If you book your ticket on or after April 1, 2021, you can change it to another destination in the same region and in the same class of travel without any additional charges.

If the itinerary on your original ticket does not include Dubai, you can only change your flight for a similar route that does not include Dubai.

For tickets issued on or before September 30, 2020, with travel date on or before December 31, 2021, the fare paid for any trip to the same destination or within the same zone will be accepted in any booking class. For example, if your original reservation is for London, you can rebook it for Amsterdam at no additional charge. If the itinerary on your original ticket does not include Dubai, you can only change your itinerary for a similar itinerary that does not include Dubai.

For a ticket issued on or after October 1, 2020, with the date of travel on or before December 31, 2021, the fare you paid for any trip to the same destination or within the same area will be accepted in the same booking class. For example, if your original reservation for London was in economy class, you can rebook it for Amsterdam in economy class in the same booking class at no additional charge. If the itinerary on your original ticket does not include Dubai, you can only change your flight for a similar route that does not include Dubai.
