Michael B Jordan’s headline as “People magazine’s” Sexiest Man Alive “might have fainted fans, but it also sparked a good dose of jokes from the actor’s friends.
“No Regrets” star told host Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” Thursday that his close friends haven’t let him off the hook since he grabbed the title.
“It’s a blessing and a curse,” Jordan said. “People don’t tell you you have a target on your back right away. All my kids, in every group chat … they drink me constantly.”
Jordan said his friends tease him about his every move – joking, for example, that he “eats like the sexiest man alive,” among other pranks.
But Jordan predicted the jokes would spread.
The actor told People after announcing his title last year that he was ready to receive “maximum grief” from his male friends.
“The group chat will go crazy when this shows up. I mean, the jokes won’t stop,” he said at the time. “It’s going to be fun, believe me.”
Earlier this month, Jordan, who has not spoken publicly about his love life, shared with People that his model girlfriend, Lori Harvey, made him “very happy.”
He said, “I’m still private, and I want to protect that, but it felt like it was a moment of just wanting to put it out there and move on.”
