Paultons Park shares sneak peek video on its new rollercoaster ahead of April opening

Theme park Paultons Park is set to reopen to visitors from Monday (April 12) and when it does, there’ll be a brand new £12million land awaiting guests complete with EIGHT rides and attractions.

That includes a huge new rollercoaster Storm Chaser – and now the attraction has offered a sneak peek at what riders can expect with a ‘point-of-view’ video.

Judging by the clip, there are plenty of thrills awaiting those who take on the free spinning ride (the first of its kind in the UK).

Riders will board trains of carriages which will carry them over 20m above ground as it zips across the 459m-long track.

It’s not the only new exciting attraction that will be on offer. Other highlights will include Cyclonator, a gyro swing spinning pendulum ride which rises to around 25 metres above the ground, as well as three drop rides; Windmill Towers, Buffalo Falls, and Trekking Tractors.

(We’ve already had a bit of a sneak peek at the new land which is set in a desert town in 1950s America).

The theme park says that all of the rides have already been running for thousands of hours as they underwent a “rigorous testing and inspection process”.

Of course as Paultons is aimed at younger visitors, there will also be some gentle rides in the new land for those who aren’t quite ready for the big attractions.

Al’s Auto Academy is sure to be a hit, with kids and their accompanying adults able to ride one of the 30 electric cars around the garage-themed driving school, as well as playgrounds including the Parking Lot Tots and Junkyard Junction.

The new land will be included in the admission price, with kids measuring under 1m going free, and adult prices from £35.75. The theme park is also home to other lands including Peppa Pig’s World.

Theme parks in England can reopen from April 12 as the country enters Step 2 of the lockdown roadmap. When they do, Paultons isn’t the only attraction opening a brand new land – Legoland and Alton Towers will also be offering up new themed zones.

In fact, we’ve got a round-up of all the best new theme park rides and lands that you’ll want on your radar.
