Fortnite Halloween skin: the vampire costume could arrive in Battle Royale

  • Fortnite data miners have found data suggesting a vampire skin may be released
  • The popular online game released Halloween costumes in October
  • Festive skins include the original Skull Trooper and two scary Jack O ‘Lanterns

Epic Games’ Fortnite is taking Halloween seriously this year, having already introduced holiday-themed skins like two spooky Jack O’Lanterns and brought back the original Fortnite: Skull Trooper skin.

Now, the hugely popular co-op shooter game has seen many more Halloween-themed skins leaking in the run-up to the v6.10 patch update, suggesting that things are about to get a lot scarier.

According to the Fortnite leak Twitter account FNBRLeaks, the latest patch includes Halloween-themed skins like Spider-Knight, Arachne, Guan-Yu, and Onesie, not to mention gear like Arachne’s Back Bling, Long Legs, Spider Knight’s Spider Shield, and Guan-Yu’s Loyal Shield.

Fortnite data miners have found data suggesting a vampire skin could be released this month

Spider-Knight looks like Ashen One from Dark Souls III, while Arachne appears to be from the world of Overwatch. Guan-Yu’s attractive golden looks follow up on another favorite Fortnite skin: Wukong, the Monkey King.

There are also lighter Halloween-themed skins floating around, including the Onesie, which features a Durr Burger pattern.

However, it appears that Fortnite still has some secrets up its sleeve.

Data miners @Hypexleaks and @ShiinaBR analyzed Fortnite game data for clues about upcoming skins and found some horror-themed ones.

A skin called Sanctum is thought to be a male vampire costume, complete with a leash on the back of the Coven Cloak.

There may also be a female version that the developers haven’t added. There is already a female vampire skin called Dusk that came out in the Season 6 Battle Pass.

It is not yet clear when Fortnite will add the new outfits, although VGR expects it to be around October 24, when the latest Fortnite patch should be released.

The suspected vampire skins, as well as the latest v6.10 leaks, complete a spooky month for Fortnite, which has been releasing Halloween-themed skins throughout October.

Update leaks from the previous patch saw skins like the scarecrow-themed costumes Hay Man and Straw Ops appear.

Also potentially haunted by the Fortnite camps were the Scourge skins found in the v6.02 patch data.

Fortnite’s Halloween appeal is so great that people should even prepare to see the game’s skins in real life.

According to new data from the Google blog, Fortnite skins are the most popular Halloween costumes for 2018, beating out contenders like Spider-Man, Harley-Quinn and Pirate.
