The Michigan football team has its third offensive lineman for the class of 2019.
Three-star prospect Jack Stewart, of New Canaan, Conn., announced his commitment to the Wolverines Monday night, the second player this week to do so.
“Committed to the University of Michigan,” Stewart wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to all the coaches that extended offers. #GoBlue”

Stewart is listed at 6-feet-5 and 280 pounds by 247Sports, which ranks him as the 83rd best offensive tackle in the class. He ranks 1,012 overall, and the seventh-best player in Connecticut.
On Twitter, he lists himself as an offensive and defensive lineman, so there’s potential for him to play either side of the ball.
Stewart had scholarship offers from 17 schools, choosing Michigan over Arizona, Boston College, TCU, Texas A&M, among others. The Wolverines formally offered him on April 6.
He joins four-star guard Noah Rumler (Akron, Ohio) and four-star tackle Trente Jones (Loganville, Ga.) along the offensive line.
With the addition, Michigan’s 2019 recruiting class now ranks fourth nationally and No. 1 in the Big Ten, according to 247Sports.
