Meghan Markle added a special shout to the author’s bio for her upcoming children’s book “The Bench”.
In the Penguin Random House issue of the book, shared with HuffPost on Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex mentioned her dogs (Jay and Paula), as well as some new animal friends when describing her work and current life in California.
“Megan, Duchess of Sussex, is a mother, wife, feminist, and activist,” says author of the bio, Megan. “Through the nonprofit work of the Archewell Foundation, she and her husband are committed to activating compassion in communities around the world.”
“She currently resides in her hometown of California with her family, two dogs and a growing herd of rescued chickens,” the statement adds.
Meghan, Harry and Archie’s rescue chicken coop recently appeared during the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.
In prime-time CBS shots, Megan talks about the family’s rescued chickens, while viewers catch a glimpse of the barn, aptly called “Archie Check-In, Founded in 2021.”
The Duchess greeted the former farm chickens with the words “Hey girls!” In the footage she tells Winfrey that she “loves to save”.
It’s unclear if the chicken will appear in Megan’s children’s book, which features watercolors from award-winning author and illustrator Christian Robinson.
The Duchess spoke in a statement about “The Bench,” which was inspired by Prince Harry and Archie’s relationship.
“the seat It started as a poem that I wrote to my husband on Father’s Day, a month after Archie was born. ”That poem became this story.
She said Robinson captured “the warmth, joy and comfort of the relationship between parents and children from all walks of life” in his illustrations, which she said “was of particular interest to me.”
“Christian and I worked closely to capture this special bond through an all-encompassing lens,” added Megan. “My hope is that the seat It resonates with every family, regardless of makeup as much as you do with my makeup. ”
