Marvel welcomes fans back to the movies with a short clip that includes new footage and details about the upcoming set of projects, including the long-awaited second installment, “Black Panther.”
It will be the follow-up to the record-breaking Ryan Coogler titled “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and is scheduled to hit theaters July 8, 2022.
The 2018 Marvel sequel wouldn’t look the same without co-star Chadwick Bosman, who had colon cancer and died in August.
Lupita Nyong’o recently discussed how a second “Black Panther” movie, which is set to begin filming in Atlanta later this year, was being remade to address Boseman’s death, which she said was “still very difficult for me”.
“We have a leader in Ryan, who feels just as much as we feel, and feels the loss in a very, very real way as well,” she told Yahoo Entertainment. “And his idea, the way he reshaped the second film respects the loss we all have suffered as actors and as a scientist. So it is spiritually and emotionally correct to do so. I hope what I am looking forward to is to come back together and honor what he started with us and keep his light through it. Because he left us so much light. Which we are still bathing in. I’m sure you know. “
Elsewhere in the Loud Reel, Marvel has dropped its first look at Chloé Zhao’s movie Eternals, which is scheduled to hit theaters November 5, 2021.
