Some still images from Disney + MCU’s upcoming ‘Ms Marvel’ series have appeared online, giving fans a first glimpse of Marvel’s first Muslim heroine, Kamala Khan, played by Iman Villani.

The photos revealed Felani’s superhero costume, which is surprisingly accurate for comic books and has won plaudits from fans.

The movie “Mrs. Marvel”, directed by Bisha K. Ali, also includes Aramis Knight, Sagar Sheikh, Rish Shah, Matt Linz, Mohan Kapoor, and Zenobia Shroff. Bollywood actor and film director Farhan Akhtar, recently filmed the MCU project and it is believed to be “Mrs. Marvel”.

Filani, a Canadian born to Pakistani parents, will play Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager who turns into the heroine of Mrs. Marvel.

Kamala Khan’s incarnation is a relatively newcomer to the comic book world. G Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona appeared in the character for the first time in a comic book in 2015. She was the first Muslim heroine in the Marvel universe to have her own comic book series.

Kamala belongs to Jersey City, New Jersey, in the comics, and bears the title of Mrs. Marvel after Carol Danvers, her idol, becomes Captain Marvel. Danvers was formerly Mrs. Marvel according to comic books. She has shape-shifting powers due to her superhero lineage after exposure to Terrigen Mist.

Brie Larson portrays Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, in the movie of the same name and reprises the role in ‘Avengers: Endgame’. In the sequel, Larson will reprise the role.

The movie “ Ms Marvel ”, which is part of the fourth step of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be shown on Disney + Hotstar in late 2021.
