Indian TV Actress Robina Delek is the latest celeb to test positive for COVID-19.
The former Bigg Boss 14 contestant took to her Instagram Saturday to confirm the news, in an effort to find positivity in a grim diagnosis.
“Always looking for the silver liner !! I will now be eligible to donate plasma after a month. Tested positive! The house is under quarantine for 17 days! Whoever called me in the past 5/7 days, please test yourself!” Posted on Instagram.
Delek, a popular TV star who has appeared on shows like “Choti Bahu – Sindoor Bin Suhagan”, “Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed” and “Shakti: Astitva Ke Ahsaas Ki”, uses her social media to urge her fans to hide and follow COVID-19 protocols .
India is in the grip of a deadly epidemic as the number of infected people at the end of the week exceeded 400,000, while the death toll exceeded 200,000.
The second wave swept across India, where many Bollywood and TV celebrities tested positive, the latest being veteran actor Randhir Kapoor who was rushed to an intensive care unit in Mumbai after testing positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile, TV actor Bikramjit Kanwarpal died in the morning hours after complications after testing positive.
Actors like Sonu Sood, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, John Abraham and Varun Dhawan are using their social media to amplify the appeals of those who are in desperate need of oxygen, intensive care beds or medications.
Elsewhere, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna donated money and provided basic medical equipment while Salman Khan launched a food truck in Mumbai to provide food to frontline workers.
Abroad, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband Nick Jonas launched a campaign to raise money for those affected by the Coronavirus.
