Dubai: The DMCC free zone operator said it signed 216 new projects in April 2021. This was the highest number on record for April in seven years.
The first quarter was also the best performance for the Free Zone in seven years.
The company said in a statement: “Despite the global economic situation, DMCC continued to attract a wide range of entrepreneurs, SMEs and large multinationals to Dubai.”
The robust growth is dependent on the momentum coming from initiatives including the DMCC Cocoa Center and the DMCC Cipher Center, which will further expand the trade ecosystem of the DMCC.
New bundled price packages and laser-guided communication have increased DMCC’s engagement with key markets, including China, the United Kingdom, France, and India, among others.

“The global pandemic has led to a reassessment of businesses around the world of where they are to ensure they reach the right levels of support, leading facilities and first-class services,” said Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DMCC. .
“This record month really shows the resilience of the Dubai economy and the commitment of DMCC towards its member firms,” he added.
